Judge Convicted of Perjury in Divorce Case!

Writer's picture: Alex BakerAlex Baker

In a stunning departure from tradition, former Michigan judge Theresa Brennan has been sentenced to 6 months in jail for perjury

in a her own divorce case. This author is not aware of any other civil or family law cases where perjury has ever been prosecuted, let alone a case involving a former judge. For anyone who has ever been a part of a family law or civil case, it is not news that perjury is routinely relied upon, and judges don't seem to mind. One can only wonder what Ms. Brennan actually did that caused this retribution.
